Debbi Kleisch: After receiving a BFA from Stratford College in Virginia I worked as a production potter/teaching Artist-Residence in Maine. Years later after returning to the South I began a 20 plus year career in residential Interior Design. Five years ago, after 38 years of not painting, I returned to my easel. Working in oils, I am constantly learning more regarding the relationship of color & light.The beauty of simple light infused objects inspire me as do images from travels to France, Italy & sun lit beaches. I studied graphic design in Florence, Italy at Santa Reparata Graphic Arts Center. Haystack Mt. School of Crafts in Blue Hill, Maine was a magical learning experience for me. More recently I've studied with Connie Winters, Susan Hecht, Barbara Flowers, Margaret Baylis, Dreama Tolle Perry & Leslie Saeta. I'm an Associate member of WPSE, Women Painters of the Southeast. My emerging work has been shown in Rehoboth, Bethesda, Charlotte & Greensboro.
